This is another special landscape tree that should be used as a specimen tree. The tree has a beautiful lustrous red fall color and gets deeply fissured bark as it ages. This is a pest and disease free tree and will give many years of pleasure; it requires a fairly large area to grow. It is best to start this as a seedling or a very small transplant.

This is a great landscape tree if it has plenty of room to grow. This tree is on the Campus of Towson State University and is approximately 50 to 60 years old. Beech trees attract a variety of wildlife, provide lots of shade and add to the landscape as a specimen tree. The yellow fall color is another great feature of this tree.
